Giving your baby homemade baby food is an ideal most of us moms aspire to. Of course we want to give our precious little ones fresh, organic, delicious food. Without the processing, the chemicals and the unknowns of premade baby food. Their little guts are so young and sensitive. It’s worth it to give them the best start in the world of eating of solids.

But as you probably know by now, I like a little dose of realism around here.

Homemade baby food - making it fresh, easy and delicious! Starting solid food should be a fun time for you and your baby. These are 11 reasons why I love my baby food system, and why it keeps my baby eating tasty, organic, nutricious food. #homemadebabyfood #solidfood #beabababycook #beaba

Starting solid food – but where to start?

Homemade baby food all the time is an ideal it can be pretty hard to live up to. For lots of reasons.

It’s the same as lots of aspects of motherhood 🙂

When my first son was born, it was wonderful, magical and precious. It was also a bit of a shock to the system. My time and energy just seemed to have evaporated. With each developmental milestone came new mommy challenges.

Starting solid food is a really fun time for you and your baby, but it can feel like a lot of additional work.

I want to share with you this way of making homemade baby food because it honestly changed the whole experience for me – for the better!

Homemade baby food – the easiest way…

When my son was very young, a good friend gave me this wonderful baby food processor:

Beaba Babycook Pro Homemade baby food

It’s the Beaba Babycook Pro. It’s a one stop shop for homemade baby food. Click on the image or the link to see all the features of the Beaba.

The same machine will steam the food and blend it to the consistency appropriate for the stage of your little eater. It takes under 20 minutes. You can also easily defrost frozen baby food in the machine or reheat leftovers from your refrigerator.

11 Reasons to Love Your Beaba

Here’s just a few of the reasons I love mine:

1. Convenience without compromise

Fresh homemade baby food – with none of the hard work. Amazing.

2. Super speedy

You get home from work and your baby is tired and hungry. You throw some fresh veggies into the machine and by the time the diaper is changed and the pjs are on, the homemade baby food is ready and waiting. So, so quick.

3. Simple to use and clear up

One machine does both steaming and pureeing, so it’s really quick to clean up and easy to use.

4. Properly fresh food

And you know it’s fresh, because you just popped the fresh pear in there yourself.

5. Absolutely no additives

Just real food. No secrets. No reading the small print for additives and preservatives. This is one the most important motivations for me to make my own baby food.

Just apples and nothing added…

6. Easy to provide the right range of foods

Because it’s so simple to make the fresh food, your baby can easily try a whole range of flavors, and cover all the nutrient bases.

Babies have a little habit of liking something one day and being really offended by it the next day. So having a whole freezer of sweet potato and apricot pots may not help you if your little one has taken against them. With the Beaba, it’s just so easy to make a fresh meal with your own fresh fruit and veggies.

7. It’s fun to experiment

Not sure if your baby will love cauliflower? Just make a little bit in your Beaba, without wasting the whole veggie. Having the Beaba made me much more creative about baby food, and my son ate a big range of foods as a result.

8. Saves you so much money

Buying organic baby food is expensive…and your baby will be eating three meals a day. Without a doubt, the Beaba is worth the investment. Especially if you may well end up using it for more than one child.I know this handy machine has saved me serious cash.

9. It comes with a great cookbook

I love getting ideas  – it’s amazing to me the range of things a baby can eat.

10. Great as your baby grows

You can adjust the consistency of the puree, so when you baby gets used to eating chunky food, this is the ideal way to make it just right.

11. Makes an awesome gift

As I mentioned, my Beaba was given to me by a thoughtful friend. This is definitely a great gift for baby showers and a must-add item for baby registries.

I love classy grey version, but if you’re looking for a more exciting color, it also comes in orange and blue.

Is this what you’re looking for?

Having my trusty Beaba made the transition to baby food a really smooth process for me and my son (no pun intended).

Actually, it added to the fun because I wasn’t so stretched with preparing the food. I could concentrate on watching him experience solid food for the first time.

Take a look at it here to see if it’s what you’re looking for to help you introduce solid food to your little one – it really helps you enjoy the process.
