Is it Friday again? Holiday time – easy to lose track of the days. I hope you and your kitchens all had a wonderful Thanksgiving 🙂
This week’s Friday Five features…scented candles for your kitchen.
My kitchen is taking a bit of a battering at the moment. Holiday season!
I’ve been making lots of vegetable soups in my new stock pot and getting into holiday cookies with the kids. The two scents are not a happy mix.
So my thoughts turned to scented candles. Aren’t they lovely? They have the power to make everything feel so clean and fresh.
My favorite scents are those which remind me of forest walks and peaty fires, but sometimes a really good citrus scent is so refreshing.
So, I’m starting off with the Chesapeake Bay Candle Heritage Collection, Balsam Fir. This is a soy wax blend candle, and it comes in various sizes. I love the simple, natural packaging.
Next up, the WoodWick Vintage Hobnail Candle in Seaside Mimosa. This is so refreshing! It’s a blend of citrus and sparkling champagne. It has a natural wooden wick which makes a crackling sound when it burns.
Have you seen the Paddywax range of candles? They are fabulous – so stylish and full of innovative scents. I’ve chosen 3 here because I couldn’t resist. These are from 3 different collections.
This hand-poured soy wax candle burns for 60 hours. This is from the 9.5 ounce jar – other sizes are available.
I absolutely LOVE the apothecary jars – they make me feel like these candles are medicinal in a good, solid, remedy kind of a way. This Sage and Sea Salt will cut through stubborn kitchen smells and put them in their place – the scents are produced with totally natural fragrances.
And last up for this week’s Friday Five: Paddywax Boheme Collection Candle in Hand Painted Ceramic Bowl, Green Fig and Violet. Here’s something a little bit sweeter and perfect for the festive atmosphere.
Hope you find something to make your kitchen smell clean and fresh today!
